FAQ

How much does it cost to rent space at the UCCC?

We have three spaces available: Monfort Concert Hall, Hensel Phelps Theater, and the lobbies. Rental of Monfort Concert Hall automatically includes all lobby spaces. Please see the rental rate documents for each of our areas.

How do I get the date I want?

Please contact the Programming Coordinator as soon as you know the date you would like to rent space at the UCCC. City of Greeley programming is done first (the shows that we present you can find in our annual season brochure), followed by renters with an annual history at the UCCC, followed by new renters. Our season year runs from September through August. Rental requests are not accepted outside of this timeframe (i.e., we do not accept requests for dates more than a year in advance).

Do I need insurance?

Yes. Renters are required to provide proof of insurance for their event(s) held at the UCCC. We require what is often referred to as a “$1 million / $2 million” policy, meaning general liability of each occurrence limit $1 million and general liability aggregate limit $2 million. An insurance agent can provide you with more details. The City of Greeley cannot recommend or provide information about any particular insurance agent or company.

When can I arrive and when must I be out of the building?

Rental time is from midnight (12:00 am) to 11:59 pm. Additional labor charges apply for access between midnight at 8:00 am.

Do I have to pay a deposit? Is it refundable?

A rental deposit is due at the time you sign your contract. For Monfort Concert Hall and/or Lobby rental, the deposit is $200. For Hensel Phelps Theatre, the deposit is $100. Rental deposits are non-refundable.

A refundable damage deposit of $400 may be required for lobby events and/or new tenants.

I want to sell tickets to my performance, how do I get my money after the show?

You will be sent a check from the City of Greeley Finance Office within approximately ten business days after your show.

I don’t want to sell tickets to my performance, how am I billed for expenses after the show takes place?

You will be sent an invoice (bill) from our Financial Services Coordinator within approximately ten business days after your show.

I need to tell you about the lights, sound, sets, props, etc. of our show. Who do I talk to?

Approximately 60 days prior to your event, please plan on attending a tenant meeting at the UCCC where you will meet with technical staff and front-of-house staff to discuss all the requirements of your event.

Can I get an estimate of how much labor and other expenses will cost?

Yes, an estimate will be emailed to you shortly after your tenant meeting.

Will the UCCC help me with marketing my event?

No, marketing is the responsibility of the tenant. We will list your event on our website and provide on-line ticket sales; any other marketing is undertaken by the tenant.
